Just two words
for the best solution.

Cosmetic dentistry

Growing aesthetic demands in society have increased patients’ awareness for finding solutions that are not only functional in dental terms, but also oriented to suit their aesthetic wishes. Aesthetic interventions are clearly different from cosmetic dentistry in our practice and are always performed according to the laws of nature. Treatment solutions combine function and aesthetics into a harmonious whole and are performed with the aim of losing as little of the tooth as possible. Dr. Heinlein is a member of the German Association of Esthetic Dentistry (DGÄZ) and regularly participates in continuing education in the field of aesthetic dentistry in order to offer patients the best possible therapy solutions.

Tooth-colored fillings

If part of a tooth has been lost due to a small cavity, using composite fillings is a high-quality and simple method for its replacement. For such a procedure, we use a highly aesthetic ceramic composite that is firmly adhered to the tooth and blends in with the rest of the teeth. When filling a tooth in our dental practice in Oberursel, we place particular emphasis not only on restoring its chewing function, but also on restoring the aesthetics of the tooth.

All-ceramic inlays

An all-ceramic inlay is an extremely high-quality option for restoring a medium to large scale defect in a back tooth. It is practically invisible and the exceptional toughness of highly-developed modern ceramic makes it extreme durable and biocompatible. Due to our cooperation with German master laboratories, it is virtually impossible to distinguish the ceramic inlays from natural teeth, while they also impress with excellent aesthetics and functionality.

All-Ceramic Veneers

Veneers are extremely thin, transparent coverings which are not visually distinguishable from natural teeth. Veneers are often used on the front teeth. The slight misalignment of teeth, larger fillings or other aesthetic factors can be covered very well with ceramic veneers. Veneers are an excellent option for creating a radiant smile, particularly in a time of growing aesthetic demands in society.

Teeth whitening (bleaching)

Even after intensive dental care, discoloration can be caused by things we consume on a daily basis such as coffee, tea or red wine. Bleaching can help remove these stains and to lighten the teeth by several shades. We offer Zoom Bleaching by Philips as a treatment in our practice. We use a special LED light for what is known as in-office bleaching, which accelerates the bleaching process many times over, leading to impressive results that are aesthetically pleasing. The advantage this method offers when compared to older UV lights is that this LED light does not heat up, which is gentler on the gums. Irritation that had often occurred as the result of treatment with UV lights is now finally a thing of the past. Another option is what is known as home bleaching in which we prepare bleaching trays for you to take home where you can fill them with bleaching gel yourself. This method is slower since we are only allowed to give you a gel for at home that is less concentrated. It takes longer to achieve results, but works just as well. It is also a particularly convenient method to use for “freshening up” your teeth after successful bleaching treatments in the practice.

(All-ceramic) onlays

If more material has been lost from a tooth, for example due to a large cavity or a larger piece breaking off, an onlay is an attractive option for restoring the function and aesthetics of a tooth. The advantage of an onlay in contrast to a full crown is that much less hard tooth tissue has to be ground off. A defect-oriented preparation is then applied. Onlays can be made completely of ceramic for a highly aesthetic finish or also from precious metal.

(All-ceramic) crowns

If even more hard tooth tissue has been lost or a tooth has undergone root canal treatment, often the only answer is to completely cover the tooth with a crown. A full crown can also be made of all-ceramic, all-metal or porcelain-fused-to-metal material. Due to the development of all-ceramic in recent years, it is now possible to manufacture crowns that look so similar to natural teeth that they are not noticeable at all. The material is also very compatible with the gums. Gray or blue colored gums or unmasked, dark crown edges as known from the past are no longer an issue. We would be happy to advise you in a one-on-one consultation!

High-quality replacement teeth

Missing teeth in the upper or lower jaw can be replaced with fixed replacement teeth in the form of crowns, onlays, bridges or removable replacement teeth in the form of various prostheses. In our dental practice, we offer all of these options at the highest of quality. Every patient requires customized treatment based on their individual situation, and we would be happy to explain the various options in a one-on-one consultation.

(Zirconia) bridges

If it is necessary to extract a tooth or it is missing already, a bridge is an option for filling the resulting gap. In such a case, the options are similar to those mentioned above, either made of metal or completely of ceramic. For the base, an exceptionally hard type of ceramic known as zirconia ceramic is used. The base can then be fitted and is nearly invisible in the mouth. It is generally recommend to not leave gaps over a long period of time. Otherwise, the opposing tooth in the other jaw may become elongated as it no longer meets an opposing tooth, or the neighboring teeth may tilt into the gap.

Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed in the jawbone where it bonds with the bone. Dental implants fulfill the same function as the natural root of the tooth and can replace one or more teeth that have been lost. Dental implants can be placed in both the upper and lower jaw. If too little jawbone exists for anchoring the implant, it is possible to regenerate bone in such cases. The advantage offered by implants is that it eliminates the need to grind down other teeth, as is the case with a bridge. Thanks to major developments in recent years, implants can be used to replace individual teeth and can also be used as anchors for bridges or prostheses.

Splint therapy

Splint therapy can help to treat various conditions that affect the jaw. The applications are just as diverse as the symptoms that may arise. Splint therapy can help to relieve an improper, sub-optimal bite, misaligned teeth, bruxism (teeth grinding) or incorrect or overburdening use of the masticatory muscles and problems with jaw muscles. Custom-made splints can also help as a preventive measure if there is a risk of a disorder of the jaw or masticatory muscles. Let us know if you are suffering from any of the conditions described.

Sports mouth guards

The topic of dental accidents/dental trauma is a serious issue in sports. For types of sports that run the risk of causing such trauma, it is possible to have custom mouth guards made to ensure that you or your children’s teeth are able to survive small and bigger accidents with as little damage as possible.

What we offer your children

As a dental practice with a special focus on the longevity and long-term preservation of your natural teeth, we like to provide information, preventive care and treatment early on. Especially with children, their first encounters with a dentist are of utmost importance, because these experiences have a lasting impact on how they approach dentists and oral hygiene, which has an effect on their dental health.

In our practice, the well-being of our younger patients is dear to our hearts. Starting with the atmosphere we create, including entertainment options before and during treatment, we leave nothing to chance.

Our practice team is trained in how to interact, educate and treat children and cares for every child with undivided attention and the greatest sensitivity to their needs and worries. We are particularly proud of our computer-assisted anesthesia system, which helps both anxious patients and children by administering anesthesia that is hardly noticeable before a treatment.

Come along with your child to see our bright interior, warm and open atmosphere and the skilled treatment we provide children.

Interdisciplinary treatments
We only put you in the best of hands.

It is said that smiling requires less effort than frowning because it uses fewer facial muscles. While that is true, a beautiful and radiant smile is indeed a complex interplay of facial muscles, jaw musculature, teeth and so on. As our smile demonstrates, it can sometimes be necessary to work together with other specialists to achieve the best results for our patients.

To offer you the best possible treatment, we focus on our specialties and work on problems beyond our range of services on an interdisciplinary basis with outstanding experts (such as orthodontists, surgeons, physical therapists) who we would also go to for our own treatment. Regardless of which partner we refer you to, you can rest assured that your information will be dealt with confidentially and that we will only put you in the best of hands.
